In 1987, a few alumni began working towards a new fraternity house for Kappa Sigma at the University of Arizona. The University committed to providing land, and the chapter hired a professional to raise the money needed. Though founded in 1915 and having the legacy of being a campus leader during most of its history, the chapter was dormant during the 1970's. By the mid-1980's there was minimal alumni involvement and the undergraduates were struggling. Despite these facts, the professional promised big results in a short time. The University's backed out of its commitment of land and the initial campaign failed.

Matt Noble, one of the active young alumni volunteers with work experience with the University of Arizona Athletic Department, the Leukemia Society, and at IBM, decided to take charge. His leadership over the next few years resulted in a strong alumni/parent relations program, an excellent undergraduate chapter, and a new chapter house that is finest facility on the campus and one of the best in the west.

Early results were so stunning that other chapters on the University of Arizona campus and Kappa Sigma chapters from other parts of the country came to Matt asking for help. He founded Noble Consulting, which soon became Fraternity Management Group. Today, FMG is now considered a leader in alumni/parent programming, feasibility studies, capital campaigns, and information management. Matt now serves the University of Arizona on the Alumni Association National Board of Directors, Eller Management School Associates Board, and Student Life National Leadership Board. He also continues to serve as an Advisor and House Corporation Board member for Kappa Sigma at the University of Arizona.

FMG's vision is to ensure that every client has a strong undergraduate chapter operation, effective alumni & parent relations program, and a quality living-learning environment. We believe that an effective partnership between the Local Chapter, Greek Life Office, University Alumni Association, Head-quarters, and FMG is the key to chapter excellence.
